Spencer will reprise her role as Dr. Megan Hunt from Seasons 14 and 15 of the hit medical drama (via Deadline), while Walsh will return as Dr. Addison Montgomery, who debuted during the show’s Season 1 finale way back in 2005 (via Variety). Walsh’s character was popular enough to have been branched off in her own spin-off series, Private Practice, but she’s now headed back to the world of Grey’s Anatomy.

Deadline notes that Spencer will arrive as Dr. Megan Hunt in the premiere of Season 18, after having appeared in six total episodes of the series. As for Walsh, it’s unknown exactly when she’ll be back in the new season, but it will be for a “multi-episode” arc, so fans don’t have to worry about not getting enough of Dr. Montgomery.

Grey’s Anatomy is a high-intensity medical drama following Meredith Grey and the team of doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial, who are faced with life-or-death decisions daily. They seek comfort from one another and, at times, more than just friendship. Together they discover that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white.

It also stars Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt, Caterina Scorsone as Amelia Shepherd, Camilla Luddington as Jo Wilson, and Kelly McCreary as Maggie Pierce.
