PlayStation 5 owners were treated to a gift earlier today, as Sony announced on Thursday that owners of the new console will be able to get a six-month trial of Apple TV+ for free.

The promotion is available only to PlayStation 5 owners and requires both a PlayStation Network account and an Apple ID. PS5 owners can redeem the offer anytime between now and July 22, 2022, and must have at least some payment method on file on their Apple account, because the plan will renew for $4.99/month after the trial period ends.
If you’re a PS5 owner and looking to claim the offer, all you have to do is find the Apple TV app on your PS5 console’s search bar, or by navigating to the “All apps” section in the Media home. From there, download and open the app and follow the on-screen instruments, sign in with your Apple ID, and you’re done.

Better yet, the free trial promotion isn’t limited to just new customers. Existing Apple TV+ subscribers or users that are already using a free trial of the platform can take advantage of the free six months, provided that you own a PlayStation 5. With a ton of great programming including Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest, and more, it’s a great time to dive into the streaming platform.
