Lou Ferrigno Discusses She-Hulk, What Disney+ Series Should Avoid

Mark Ruffalo has quickly become the face of The Incredible Hulk for this generation, but prior to him, it was Lou Ferrigno who was synonymous with the comic book character. In a recent interview with TooFab, the actor spoke about the upcoming Disney series She-Hulk, and what the company should try to avoid.

When asked about the upcoming Disney+ series, Ferrigno said he thought it was a good idea, but that he believes the show shouldn’t rely too heavily on things like special effects.

I think it’s a good idea, but I think we have to get retrained from seeing too much special effects because the more authentic, organic the character can be, the more believable,” Ferrigno said. “So we have to see what happens because it may work for Star Wars — it may work for different films, but you know, when you have too much CGI, it gets confusing.”

The series is set to see introduce some new faces to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Renée Elise Goldsberry will play Amelia and Ginger Gonzaga is confirmed for the project. As far as returning faces, Mark Ruffalo returns and Tim Roth will reprise Abomination from the Edward Norton-led The Incredible Hulk.

The series is being developed and written by Jessica Gao, who wrote the “Pickle Rick” episode of Rick and Morty‘s third season. Kat Cairo (Brooklyn Nine-NineDead to Me) and Anu Valia (Lucia, Before and After) will direct and executive produce.
