Freddie Stroma will be taking over Chris Conrad’s role in HBO Max’s The Suicide Squad spinoff show, Peacemaker.
According to Deadline, Stroma will play Vigilante. Also known as Adrian Chase, the once lawyer began taking the law into his own hands after losing faith in the system he once served when his family’s killer was let free. In addition to his hand-to-hand combat expertise, Vigilante has the ability to heal quickly and regenerate his body after receiving some serious damage. The character was originally created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, and first appeared in New Teen Titans Annual #2.

Conrad was set to play the role of Peacemaker‘s Vigilante. However, he left the project amicably due to creative differences.

John Cena, who will play the titular character in the series and upcoming film, will serve as co-executive producer. It will be produced by Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
