Halston follows the legendary fashion designer as he leverages his single, invented name into a worldwide fashion empire that’s synonymous with luxury, sex, status, and fame, literally defining the era he lives in, the 1970s and ‘80s New York — until a hostile takeover forces him to battle for control of his most precious asset… the name Halston itself.
The limited series will be led by Ewan McGregor, who is currently in preparing for the production start of Disney+’s Star Wars prequel series Obi-Wan Kenobi. Joining him are Rory Culkin (Castle Rock) as iconic film director Joel Schumacher (The Lost Boys), Krysta Rodriguez (Daybreak) as Liza Minnelli, who is known as a close friend to the late fashion designer.
It will also feature Bill Pullman as David Mahoney, Kelly Bishop as Eleanor Lamber, Vera Farmiga as Adele, Rebecca Davan as Elsa Peretti, David Pittu as Joe Eula, Sullivan Jones as Ed Austin and Gianfranco Rodriguez as Victor Hugo.
