The series, per the report, was created by Donald Todd (This Is Us) and follows a struggling ex-cop (Ramirez) as he returns to his home state to find a Philly mobster’s runaway girlfriend. A simple task turns into a dramatic series of events filled with buried family secrets and moral dilemmas as Todd attempts to do what is right in a place where so much is wrong in a series described as “a wild odyssey into a sunny place for shady people in the spirit of Body Heat and Elmore Leonard’s Out of Sight.”
Jason Bateman (Ozark) will executive produce the series alongside Michael Costigan, while his Netflix-based Aggregate will produce.
