Coming off from landing his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor, Minari star Steven Yeun has found his next collaboration with A24 as he officially signs on for the leading role in a new comedy-drama series. According to Deadline, Ali Wong (Always Be My Maybe) has also joined the untitled project which recently sparked a bidding war between multiple studios and streamers including Netflix and Apple after it was pitched last week.
This marks Yeun’s first major TV project as the lead after nearly five years since starring as fan-favorite survivor Glenn Rhee in AMC’s The Walking Dead. His next project will be Amazon Prime’s upcoming adult animated series Invincible which will debut later this month.
