Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon returning with special episodes & new guests
A day after TBS announced Samantha Bee would be returning with home-shot episodes of Full Frontal, NBC has announced that The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will also continue its “At Home Edition” with new hybrid episodes seeing Fallon hosting from his home and interviewing new guests, as well as best-of moments from encore episodes. The Emmy-nominated talk show went on hiatus along with numerous other film and TV productions amidst the global pandemic scare and returned last week for special 20-minute “At Home Edition” episodes that starred members of Fallon’s family and featured a few guest interviews via FaceTime. The show will continue this format heading into this week, with special guests including Trevor Noah and D-Nice last night, John Legend tonight, Niall Horan on Wednesday, Alec Baldwin on Thursday and Tina Fey on Friday.

The Tonight Show joins a growing list of talk shows seeing their hosts getting inventive in order to keep delivering content to their audiences, with Comedy Central’s The Daily Show recently rebranding itself as The Daily Social Distancing Show with Trevor Noah for the time being, TBS’ Full Frontal with Samantha Bee being filmed in the woods near the host’s home with the help of producer/husband Jason Jones and their kids.
