It has already been more than two months since the Undone had its series debut in September, and now TVLine reports that Amazon Prime has officially renewed their genre-bending adult animated series for a second season. The renewal also comes with the announcement that series co-creator Kate Purdy has signed on for a overall deal with Amazon Studios.
“It’s been wonderful to share Undone and have people watching become part of the experience as they interpret the show through their own perceptions of reality,” Purdy and Raphael Bob-Waksberg said in a joint statement. “We are thrilled Amazon Studios is giving us the opportunity to keep exploring this world and these characters, and we look forward to seeing where the story takes us next – but since time is a construct, in a way, we already made the second season and you have always been watching it all along!”

Co-created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Kate Purdy, Undone is a half-hour animated dramedy that explores the elastic nature of reality through its central character, Alma. After getting into a near-fatal car accident, Alma discovers she has a new relationship with time and uses this ability to find out the truth about her father’s death.
The series stars Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) as Jacob, Rosa Salazar (Alita: Battle Angel) as Alma, Angelique Cabral (Life in Pieces) as Becca, Constance Marie as Camila, and Daveed Diggs as Tunde.
Bob-Waksberg is known for creating the critically-acclaimed Netflix series Bojack Horseman. Kate Purdy serves as writer and producer for the show, most recently winning in the WGA Awards 2018 for her work on the animated series.

Michael Eisner’s Tornante Company with Noel Bright, Steven A. Cohen, and Tommy Pallota are producing, with Bob-Waksberg and Purdy taking on executive producing duties. Dutch artist Hisko Hulsing is helming the production design and animation work in the Netherlands. Submarine, an Amsterdam-based studio, is co-producing the show and will be partnering with Austin-based studio Minnow Mountain to do the animation under Hulsing.
All episodes of Undone season 1 are already available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
