Inspired by the book Slugfest: Inside the Epic, 50-Year Battle Between Marvel and DC, the series will explore the heated rivalry between the two comic publishers, who have vied for the larger success across film, TV and comics with major properties such as Batman, Superman, The Avengers and dozens more. It will bring to light little-known stories from the men and women behind the creation of some of the most revered characters in the world and reflect on the symbiotic relationship between the publishers that would push the artistic medium to new heights.
Don Argott and Sheena M. Joyce, the directors of the acclaimed Framing John DeLorean, have signed on to direct the series, which will be produced by ABGO CEO Todd Makurath, Peter Rieveschl (The Amazing Race), Nich Gilhool (Top Chef) and Jen Casey (Extreme Weather).

Some of the stories featured in the series will include the secret crossover inspired by the Halloween parades of small-town Rutland, Vermont, to the history behind the bone-crushing handshake between Superman and Spider-Man. Every story will hold something special for fans of both publishers and help them to dive deeper into the behind-the-scenes history of both.
