According to Discussing Film, FX is currently in the process of developing a new limited series titled Reservation Dogs with Thor: Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi attached to co-write and direct the pilot. Waititi has also signed on as the miniseries’ executive producer along with co-writer Sterlin Harjo.

Reservation Dogs is a coming-of-age drama that will follow the story of four teenagers in a Native American housing project in Oklahoma who commit petty crimes. The limited series will also be produced by Garrett Basch through his Scott Rudin Productions banner.
Harjo has been directing films that primarily focuses on Native American people which are all set in his home state of Oklahoma. The series marks second collaboration between Waititi and FX, who have been actively working on the second season of What We Do in the Shadows.

The project will be added to the growing slate of Waititi’s ongoing projects which includes: sci-fi comedy film Free Guy opposite Ryan Reynolds; James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad; Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder; the sports drama Next Goal Wins starring Elisabeth Moss and Michael Fassbender; and the recently announced sci-fi thriller series Night Raiders.
