The official Facebook page for ABC’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” has revealed a brief TV spot for the new television series, accompanied by an intriguing note regarding tomorrow night’s second episode, titled “0-8-4.”
“Be sure to stay until the end of the credits on Tuesday,” the post teases. “In true Marvel fashion, you never know what might happen.”
The eagle-eyed EW has pointed out that, at the end of the video, the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo is shown wearing an eyepatch, a la Nick Fury. Could the surprise be a cameo by Marvel Cinematic Universe superstar Samuel L. Jackson? It’s certainly a solid theory, but we’ll have to wait until tomorrow night to be sure.
“0-8-4” follows Agent Phil Coulson and the agents as they travel to Peru to investigate a mysterious object. There, they run into Comandante Camilla Reyes.
The series stars Clark Gregg, reprising his role from Marvels feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents that also includes: Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May and Chloe Bennet as the mysterious computer hacker Skye.
