Former Daredevil Showrunners Buy Costumes from Marvel’s Live Auction
Following the surprising cancellation of all Netflix Marvel shows, Marvel Television organized a live auction event featuring the on-screen props and costumes from Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Former Daredevil showrunners Steven S. DeKnight and Erik Oleson took to Twitter to reveal that they both participated in yesterday’s live-auction by purchasing Matt Murdock’s costumes.
DeKnight purchased Daredevil‘s first red and black costume for $55,000 while Oleson won Matt’s costume from his final fight against Wilson Fisk.
For those of you who don’t know, they’re auctioning off props from the Marvel Netflix shows today. And I’m happy to report that this bad boy is coming home to live at the offices of DeKnight Productions, where it belongs! pic.twitter.com/YX59pvm8lD

I just bought Matt’s final fight costume for 7750 bucks. My girlfriend is going to kill me!

Though there was some hope from fans that the shows could live on on Disney’s upcoming streaming service, Disney+, the auctioning off of costumes and props from the shows all but puts a nail in the coffin for them. Furthermore, it’ll be two years before development can even start to happen on any projects featuring the characters previously seen on Netflix.
