Deadline is reporting that Corey Fogelmanis (Ma) has joined Hulu’s Into the Dark, the streamer’s monthly horror event series from Blumhouse Television (The Loudest Voice). Annie Q. (The Leftovers), Jessi Case (Mother’s Day), Julian Works (9-1-1), Philip Labes (The OA), and Hugo Armstrong (Fear the Walking Dead) have also been cast.

Fogelmanis can currently be seen on the big screen opposite Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer in Blumhouse’s horror hit Ma. His previous credits include PrankMe, Girl Meets World, and #SquadGoals.
The six new cast members will all appear in the Into the Dark “School Spirit” episode, which follows a group of social outcasts who are stuck in weekend detention. Things go sideways when they are confronted by the school’s legendary hauntings. The episode, directed by Mike Gan, who co-wrote the installment with Patrick Casy and Josh Miller, will premiere on August 2.
The movie-length episodes of the 12-part series will stream monthly. Each installment will center on a holiday that takes place within that respective month. While each episode is inspired by a holiday from the month of its release, they all will feature Blumhouse’s signature genre/thriller spin on the story.
