According to Variety, Academy Award nominated-actress Naomi Watts has been tapped to star in the new series Wolves and Villagers for Quibi. It will be written by Stuart Blumberg, who will be serving as an executive producer alongside Jason Blum. Further details about the short-form series’ plot are currently being kept under wraps.
Watts was recently cast in HBO’s upcoming Game of Thrones prequel as a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret. She is best known for roles in such acclaimed films as Mulholland Dr., The Ring, 21 Grams, King Kong, Eastern Promises, The Impossible and BIrdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance).

Her television credits include: Showtime’s 18-part limited revival of the cult classic series Twin Peaksand Netflix’s Gypsy starring alongside Sophie Cookson. Watts will next be seen in upcoming miniseries The Loudest Voice in the Room which is based on Gabriel Sherman’s 2014 biographical book of the same name.
