Just in time for the 100th anniversary of Robert Ripley founding the brand, the Travel Channel is launching an all-new version of the classic series Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! Deadline reports that Bruce Campbell (Lodge 49, Burn Notice) will serve as host as well as executive produce the project.

The Travel Channel has ordered 10 hour-long episodes of the rebooted series which will continue its long tradition of showcasing bizarre and unbelievable stories around the globe. The reboot is currently in production, and the series will be shot on location at the famed Ripley Warehouse in Orlando, Florida. The series is slated to premiere in summer 2019.

Travel Channel fans have an insatiable curiosity about the world and sharing this wonderful and weird series with the next generation of fans is a thrill,” said Travel Channel general manager Jane Latman. “This entirely new version of Ripley’s is a fresh contemporary approach to the odd and unusual and will be jam-packed with larger-than-life characters, cool facts, history and science.

The series has gone through a number of iterations over the years. It first aired on NBC from 1949 to 1950 with Robert Ripley himself hosting until his death in 1949, after which a number of his friends served as guests hosts. ABC revived the series in the 1980s, landing Jack Palance as the primary host. TBS took a stab at it with Dean Cain running the show (God’s Not Dead), which ran from 2000 to 2003. Chris Tiu also hosted a Filipino version that debuted in 2008.

Brad Bernstein, David Karabinas, Ron Bowman will serve as executive producers alongside Campbell himself.
