ABC to develop fashion drama series with Zac Posen to exec produce
According to Deadline, ABC is in the process of developing a new drama series that will be set in the world of fashion. The upcoming series is written by Crazy Rich Asians writer Peter Chiarelli with designer Zac Posen to serve as an executive producer. Further details about the plot are being kept under wraps.
The untitled fashion drama will also be produced by ABC Studios along with Mandeville Television’s David Hoberman, Laurie Zaks and Todd Lieberman to executive produce.

Posen is well-known fashion designer who has had experience working with many A-List celebrities that includes Reese Witherspoon (Big Little Lies), Uma Thurman (Kill Bill), Kate Winslet (Titanic), Cameron Diaz (Charlie’s Angels) and Natalie Portman (Vox Lux). He has also appeared as judge on the reality TV show Project Runway for six seasons from season 11 up to season 16.
Chiarelli (The Proposal, Now You See Me 2) is best known for co-writing the screenplay for Jon M. Chu’s groundbreaking rom-com Crazy Rich Asians which starred Henry Golding, Constance Wu, Michelle Yeoh and Awkwafina.
