In the previous episode of The Purge, a covert-ops resistance movement invaded the Stanton residence, Miguel was taken prisoner at the Carnival of Flesh, Jane arrived at David’s house and Penelope gave Henry permission to kill her. What does this next installment have in store? Let’s find out as we recap The Purge season 1 episode 6 ‘The Forgotten!’
Rick and Jenna
The pair were running through the streets after fleeing the Stanton estate and they were chased by a pair of women wearing clown masks on skateboards. Rick and Jenna managed to arrived back home safely. Rick confronted Jenna over her lingering feelings for Lila, which caused Jenna to call Lila, only to reach her voicemail. Jenna was then questioned whether or not she still loved Lila, and she affirmed her true feelings for Rick.
Rick and Jenna then argued over their childhoods for a while. Later that night, Rick apologized for his earlier behavior. Jenna called Lila again, someone answered and stated that Lila was dead. Jenna informed Rick of the news and then a knock came at their door. Surprisingly, Lila was alive and had come to their house for an unknown reason.
Jane
Jane was let into David’s house and began to climb some stairs. She walked into David’s kitchen and found him relaxing with an alcoholic beverage in hand. Jane revealed to David that she had hired an assassin to come and kill him. David, understandably, was upset with Jane, but he revealed that the assassin had already visited him and had been killed by his security team.
David invited Jane to spend the night in his guest quarters, but Jane nervously attempted to flee from David’s house. Jane stumbled upon the assassin’s dead body and David began to flaunt it over her. David then showed Jane his private collection of women that he had tied up for him and his clients enjoyment. David and his fellow men wallowed in their disgusting display of chauvinism. Jane was taken prisoner and tied up to join the collection.
Miguel and Penelope
Henry chained up Miguel directly across from Penelope. Miguel attempted to convince Henry to kill him and let Penelope go, but Henry refused the offer. Henry then pointed out the similarities between the Purge and military service in an interesting way. Miguel managed to knock out Henry. Miguel then managed to free himself and kill Henry, then he freed Penelope and the two attempted to flee from the Carnival of Flesh. Rex quickly spotted them and sent a group guards to track them down. The pair snuck out on the cart transporting dead bodies out of the carnival.
Joe
Joe, a seemingly ordinary man remembered the past. He worked at Saticoy supply company and was a bit unlucky when it came to his love-life. Eventually he became disenfranchised with the American employment system and decided to become a knight in shining armor for those in trouble on Purge night (He has previously appeared in The Purge: Election Year). Joe arrived at David’s house to help save Jane.
