Mondo’s Westworld Season 4 — Music from the HBO Series vinyl is now available in its shop. Coming with a beautiful slipcase that allows fans to place the Season 1-3 vinyl records in one package, it’s a proper sendoff for the wonderful sci-fi series that was canceled too soon by HBO. ComingSoon received a copy from Mondo and came away quite impressed with the package, which is a must-buy for fans of the series and Ramin Djawadi’s score.
The three colorful records are pressed on 140g vinyl set, look gorgeous, and are housed in tri-fold sleeves with outer jackets. The vinyl packaging also features original artwork by Greg Ruth, which matches the moody and stylish look of the series. It’s also wonderfully consistent in both packaging and style to the previous three seasons, so having a full set really shines as they look great packaged together in the sturdy slipcover case (pictured below).
While the presentation is superb, the set wouldn’t mean much if the music wasn’t fantastic. Thankfully, the Season 4 set, which includes 34 tracks, sounds great and encapsulates the score that made the strong final season so memorable. Not only are there great original compositions, plus the iconic Westworld theme, but there are also Djawadi’s piano versions of iconic popular songs, such as Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games,” “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish, Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” and “Pyramid Song” by Radiohead. These renditions fit the show while also providing a fresh new way to enjoy songs we already love, and it’s great being able to revisit them and hear their full-length outside of the show.
The Mondo Westworld Season 4 vinyl set is wonderfully put together. The packaging and presentation are top-notch, while the actual music is as memorable as the show it accompanies. This is an easy recommendation for any Westworld fan, as it looks great on display and is a perfect sendoff for the series.
