In the previous episode of the CW’s Charmed, Harry helped Macy escape from his darklighter, and Maggie learned that Jordan’s ring had awakened her new powers. In Charmed Season 2 Episode 7, Maggie, Macy, and Harry investigated demonic activity in the Sacred Grove, and Katrina decided to leave SafeSpace.
Five by Five
After a boxing lesson with Jordan, Maggie stole a sample of his sweat for a spell. She, Macy, and Harry learned that a witch had cursed Jordan. Before they could investigate further, they received an alarm. Demonic activity was happening at the Sacred Grove, a magical place at the intersection of ley lines formerly under the Elders’ protection. Two tribes of demons had worked together to kill a sacred tree that bore fruit that protected against magic and murdered the dryads who protected it. They found Abigael, who claimed that Parker was responsible. In her absence, he’d worked to unite the demons as the Overlord. While Maggie left with Abigael, Macy and Harry investigated Jordan’s curse.
During her own boxing lesson with Jordan, Harry stole Jordan’s ring and used a cloning serum to provide a replacement. They used a spell to learn the history of the ring and see its darkest moment. Jordan’s ancestor, Lawrence Mortimer Chase, was a witch hunter who burned a coven. One of the witches cursed him and his descendants. All the men in Jordan’s family were dead before their 26th birthdays. Jordan was currently 25 years old.
The New Overlord
Though Maggie had devised a plan to sneak into Parker’s compound in Zurich, Abigael alerted the guards of their arrival. Parker was relieved to see Maggie alive but claimed that Abigael had tried to murder him. In Abigael’s absence, Godric had found a replacement for her in Parker. Parker wanted peace among the demon tribes and became the Overlord. While alone with Godric, Abigael told him that she would prove that Maggie had influence over Parker.
To find out who had attacked the Sacred Grove, Godric arranged for the demons to be tortured, including Abigael. However, Maggie asked Parker to stop it. Instead of torture, Parker had Godric slip the truth serum that Maggie had brought into Abigael’s food. Under questioning, Abigael admitted it had been her, but the fruit had withered away after desecrating the tree. She had been arming herself against Parker. Instead of executing her, Parker had her powers stripped so that she could be imprisoned as a mortal. Unfortunately, Godric had slipped Abigael fruit from the tree. It had been him all along, and Abigael had covered for him. Unfortunately, Abigael still had her powers
Medium
Mel ran into Kat’s mother at her store. Katrina was leaving SafeSpace to be hospitalized for hearing voices and having stress hallucinations. This had gone on throughout her life. Mel took Katrina to her house to show her a video of Marisol. Kat had recognized Marisol’s voice. Mel assured her that she wasn’t crazy. She was a medium. Kat still left SafeSpace but entrusted Mel to find someone to run Spellbound while she was gone.
