In the previous episode of Cartoon Network’s Rick and Morty, Beth ensured that Morty gave Rick permission to take him along on his adventure. In Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 2, Rick went on a solo journey to his secret pooping place, and Jerry helped Rick’s intern develop an app.
Rick’s Sanctuary
Summer told the whole family that Rick had a secret place where he goes to poop. He took a ship there and found a broken twig, indicating an intruder. Rick analyzed the contents from the sewage system and tracked down Tony by the sandwich he’d eaten. When Rick was about to kill him, Tony asked to look at a picture of his dead wife. Rick spared his life.
Tony came back to poop in Rick’s toilet. Rick went into a giant mecha Rick and sat on Tony. Tony experienced a heaven with his wife, God, and a bunch of toilets. Rick had used Globaflyn to simulate Tony’s version of heaven. When Rick let Tony through the portal, Tony insisted they were friends. When Rick came to bring Tony some fiber-rich food, he learned that Tony had died. Rick had planned an elaborate way to prank Tony when he came back to the toilet. Rick drank as dozens of Ricks crowned him the King of S***.
Lovefinderrz
Rick’s new intern, Glootie, asked the family if they would like to develop an app with him. Rick had marked his forehead to keep Jerry from doing so. Jerry immediately agreed and called the app Lovefinderrz. The app scanned people and matched them with their soulmate. People immediately dropped what they were doing and who they were with to find their soulmate. When it changed, they immediately switched focuses.
Morty found out and forced Glootie to take them to the mothership, so they could shutdown the app. The app was part of a master plan to steal planets’ water. Jerry convinced Glootie to let them go. Like Glootie, the app couldn’t find a match for Jerry. Glootie set up an ad-wall, and the people of Earth deleted the app.
Non-Consensual Mothering
Summer was into Lovefinderrz. She kept running away with her “soulmate”, but Beth would track her down and stop her. They fought at the airport after Summer found her fourth soulmate. Thankfully, the ad-wall came up, and Summer deleted the app.
