The countdown to collision in on in Agents of SHIELD Season 6 Episode 9. As the truck barrels toward the shrike tower, Deke attempts to defuse the nuke. Fitz-Simmons work frantically to repair the coms aboard Izel’s ships before the captain loses her patience and infects them with the shrike. Meanwhile, Sarge and his team hijack the Zephyr and force it away from the blast zone.
Butterflies
With Deke unable to neutralize the bomb, Daisy protects it in a quake force field as the truck plows into the tower. The tower explodes into a countless swarm of shrike that set to attacking the truck. May, Deke, and Snowflake protect the bomb while Daisy opens the door, creating a choke point. As the shrike fly into the truck, Daisy quakes them into dust.

With the tower destroyed, Izel orders the ship to return to the earth’s upper atmosphere. Her patience with Fitz-Simmons is gone, but Fitz manages to repair the coms and contact SHIELD. Simmons gives the coded distress signal, only to have Agent Davis return her message with the same. Sarge jumps on the coms and tells Izel that they are coming for her. Izel tells him to come so that she can finish him, one way or another.
Because Fitz-Simmons recognizes Sarge’s voice — wondering how someone could sound so much like Coulson — Izel thinks they must be working with him. Fitz-Simmons hide as Izel’s infected crewmembers hunt for the pair.
A New Plan
With Izel so close, Sarge gets distracted. He tries to rationalize leaving Snowflake behind and killing Pax in order to maintain control of the Zephyr to Jaco, but Jaco isn’t cool with Sarge’s actions. Yo-Yo helps free Mack, who takes down Sarge and regains control of the ship, then gets through to Jaco by reminding him why he’s in this fight. With Sarge imprisoned, Mack, Yo-Yo, and Davis take Jaco and board Izel’s ship in order to free Fitz-Simmons.
Mack and Yo-Yo find Fitz-Simmons and head back to the Qunijet. Jaco and Davis go after Izel, but she manages to disappear when they separate to surround her. The extraction team meets back together to find that the infected crew has cut them off from the Qunijet. Using the portal in his jacket, Jaco teleports the team back to the truck, where they meet up with Daisy, May, Deke, and Snowflake. While old friends embrace, Jaco grabs the nuke and teleports back to Izel’s ship, where he detonates the bomb.
Back at SHIELD headquarters, the team celebrates their victory and adjusts to the new normal. Mack and Yo-Yo reconnect and attempt to rekindle their relationship. Fitz meets Deke for the first time. Deke and Snowflake settle in. Davis, curiously, passes out out the couch during the party.
Not in a celebratory mood, May stands alone in the director’s office, holding Coulson’s badge. After the party breaks up, May goes to Sarge in his cell and shoots him.
