Good Omens Season 1 Episode 6 Recap

In the previous episode of Amazon’s Good Omens, the Four Horsemen, Adam, Aziraphale, Crowley Anathema, and Nelson converged at a US Air Force base. In the Good Omens finale, the end of the world depended on Adam, and Crowley and Aziraphale stood trial.

The End of the World

The Four Horsemen faced Adam and his friends. They depended on Adam to restart the end of the world. When Aziraphale in Madame Tracy’s body, Crowley, and Shadwell arrived, Adam willed Aziraphale his body back. Pepper challenged War with her flaming sword, which had been Aziraphale’s. Pepper declared she believe in peace, and War melted away. Each of the kids took turns challenging the horsemen with the flaming sword. Death spread his wings and disappeared. Back in the control room, Nelson was able to use his power of computer-breaking to stop World War III.

Gabriel and Beelzebub arrived to tell Adam to restart the end of the world. When Adam refused, they then threatened to tell his father, Satan. Azirphale and Crowley took Adam to a timeless plane to advise him to use his humanity. When Satan arrived, Adam told him he wasn’t his dad and never was. Satan evaporated in a cloud of smoke.

Almost the Same

The next day, Adam had restarted and restored the world. Aziraphale’s bookshop and Crowley’s car were fine. Gyles Baddicombe visited Anathema’s cottage with a box. It contained another book of prophecies that Agnes had written. Nelson convinced Anathema that she no longer needed to be a descendant and could be her own person if she wanted. Anathema burned the pages.

Madame Tracy invited Shadwell over for dinner. She was going to move out of London and find a nice home in the country. Madame Tracy wanted Shadwell to come with her.

Adam’s father grounded him, though he didn’t know why. However, his mother let him take Dog out to the garden. His friends visited him, though they weren’t supposed to. Adam coaxed Dog to find a way out, so he would need to chase after him. He took an apple from the neighbor’s yard and just continued being a mostly ordinary kid.

Crime and Punishment

The angels and demons captured Aziraphale and Crowley. Both sides had cooperated with each other to bring them to trial. They both were sentenced to extinction, Aziraphale by a pillar of fire and Crowley by holy water that Michael lent the demons. Miraculously, Aziraphale and Crowley survived their executions. Their survivals forced each side to set them free out of fear.

W hen Aziraphale and Crowley met up again, they switched their bodies back. They had rescued Agnes Nutter’s last prophecy that advised them to find different faces. They were able to survive because they weren’t themselves, though they gave convincing performances as each other.
