In the previous episode of Amazon’s Good Omens, Adam held his friends captive, and Aziraphale ascended to heaven. In Good Omens Season 1 Episode 5, the four horsemen rode to the end of the world.
Rulers of the World
Adam told his friends he would make them rulers of different continents of the world. They didn’t want that and pointed out that he couldn’t make them. Adam let them go, and his friends and Dog left. They no longer liked him. After a powerful scream, Adam collapsed to the ground and woke up. He was now thinking clearly. Adam and his friends got their bikes and rode them to an old US military airfield outside of town.
Meanwhile, Anathema and Nelson got dressed. Nelson questioned why Anathema let Agnes’s prophecies run her life. However, they deciphered another prophecy and realized that the end of the world would take place at the nearby airfield.
Something Miraculous
Aziraphale ended up in heaven, where the Quartermaster Angel berated him for losing his body. He declared he didn’t want to fight in the war, but the Quartermaster pointed out he no longer had a body to go back to Earth. Aziraphale was going to need to possess a human who was open to it.
Madame Tracy, Shadwell’s neighbor, held a séance for some paying customers. Aziraphale took over her body and recruited Tracy and Shadwell to help him stop the end of the world. They took her motor scooter to Tadsfield, with Aziraphale providing a miracle to get them there quickly.
Imagination
Crowley discovered Aziraphale’s bookshop to be on fire and unwittingly rescued Agnes’s book. Unfortunately, he got stuck on the M25 because he had done his job too well decades earlier. The M25 erupted in flames, preventing him from leaving London. What’s more, a robocaller had freed Hastur from Crowley’s answering machine. He appeared next to Crowley in his car. Crowley decided to use his imagination and drive his car through the flames. They ignited Hastur, but Crowley remained fine. His car continued to flame but not burn away. He too headed to the US air base outside of Tadsfield.
The Four Horsemen Ride
The Four Horsemen met at a diner before riding away on their motorcycles. They rode about 100 km to the US military base outside of Tadsfield and disguised themselves as military officers. They infiltrated the command center, which was a covert hub for computers that operated the world’s weapons. War sent nuclear missile codes out and armed them all. They waited for their master, the Anti-Christ, to arrive.
