In the previous episode of The Passage, Brad and Lila teamed up with Richards to try and get Amy out of Project Noah headquarters, and Elizabeth died peacefully with the help of Jonas. What does this next installment have in store? Let’s find out as we recap The Passage season 1 episode 8 ‘You Are Not That Girl Anymore’!
Relieved of Responsibility
Tim was attempting to talk with Amy telepathically. He remarked on the ease with which Amy was constructing her visions. In the real world, Amy had fallen unconscious and was taken to be observed by Horace. Sykes argued against moving Amy, but she was strongly rebuffed by Horace. Horace gathered the entire staff of Project Noah and informed them that they had all been fired from the project. Richards and Sykes decided to try and rescue Amy before she turned into a vampire. Back in Amy’s mind, she and Tim discussed the role that Brad had played in her life. Tim left Amy’s mind and she awoke, chained to a bed deep within the vampire observation wing of Project Noah. Meanwhile, Brad forced Horace to allow Sykes to treat Amy.
Security Issue
The group made it into the observation room and Brad went directly to Amy. Richards found Lawrence, one of the janitors, in the communications room destroying some equipment. Lawrence claimed that he had given the building over to Tim. Sykes explained the genetic science she was going to try and use to save Amy to Lila. Tim met with Amy again and told her of the joys of vampirism. Richards questioned Horace about the security clearance issues, he took Lawrence with him to meet with Martinez, the DoD security expert. Meanwhile, Amy began to exhibit more symptoms of turning into a vampire, as her teeth began to fall out. Sykes finished her experiment and began to test it on a sample of Amy’s blood.
Freedom
Richards stalked through the entire Project Noah building, but was unable to locate Martinez. He eventually realized that Martinez was one of the vampires, and had tricked Horace into redesigning the security protocols to aid Tim. Richards relayed the information to Brad and the pair decided to release a sedative gas into the cells of all of the vampires, except Amy. He went upstairs to get a team of soldiers together. Lawrence managed to free himself from his bindings by severing his hand off. Sykes celebrated that her idea worked, she prepared an injection for Amy, but Lawrence had locked her out of the cells. Sykes explained the situation to Brad, and convinced him that Amy had to die and become a vampire. In her mind, Amy decided against becoming a vampire. Unfortunately at that moment, Lawrence used the security key and unlocked all of the vampire cells. All of the blood-thirsty, starving vampires were unleashed and began their relentless assault on humanity.
