Frank returns to the trailer on The Punisher season 2 episode 9. He tells the group that he thought that he had changed after his family was killed, that he had become something vicious. After spending the night at the graves of his wife and kids, he realized that he has always been what he is now. He doesn’t have any answers for them. All he asks is that they let him be what he was born to be… let him finish the jobs.
“I Have to Know Why Frank Wants Me Dead”
Billy and his crew have grown in size. The whole outfit wears customized masks now. Their hideout is full of weapons, alcohol, drugs, and women. They think they’re really living, but it’s not enough for Billy. Even the pain-fueled sex with Dumont isn’t enough. Dumont suggests that she and Billy start thinking about what comes after, about taking the money and disappearing someplace where they can be whoever and whatever they want to be. Billy says that sounds fine, but he’s not going anywhere until he knows why Frank wants him dead.
Misplaced Faith
Schultz meets with Pilgrim. Schultz does not like that Pilgrim still hasn’t finished his job yet. Instead of giving Pilgrim more time to do this quietly, Schultz tells Pilgrim to place a $5 million bounty on Frank and Amy. Schultz later meets with his son, David, and tells him to get out of the city for a couple of weeks.
Pilgrim places the bounty in an old bar he used to frequent. He wants either Frank and Amy captured alive or information on where he can find them. The bartender makes a phone call, both to put out the word about the bounty and to let the bar’s owner know that Pilgrim is in town. Later, Pilgrim is called back to the bar, but instead of information on Frank and Amy, he’s confronted with his old boss, who wants the money Pilgrim disappeared with 12 years ago. Pilgrim says that man doesn’t exist anymore, that he was lost but was rescued and put on the righteous path. The former boss tells Pilgrim that it’s time to pay for all of his sins.
Trust
Curtis leaves Amy at the trailer in order to meet with his veterans group. The ones that he called show up. They’re not cool with what Curt was involved in related to Jake. Curt says that Jake got in with the wrong crowd by hanging out with Billy. Curt says that these are the brothers that he trusts and asks them to keep their ears open for information about where to find Billy.
I’m Not the One Who Dies
Amy gets bored at the trailer and heads to an old friend’s apartment. While she’s out, Amy doesn’t answer calls from Frank, who has discovered the bounty. When Amy does answer, Frank tells her about the contract on them and asks Amy just how much she trusts her friend, because Amy’s worth $5 million. Amy tries to get out of the building, but guys come in to collect her and the reward money. Frank arrives and kills most of them, but one has Amy trapped. While the guy’s distracted, Amy uses the move Frank taught her to disarm and shoot him. Frank promises her that he’s going to kill Billy then take care of the guys after them.
Nowhere Else to Go
Billy breaks into Madani’s apartment. When Madani returns home, Billy says that he can’t remember why she hastes him. He just wants to know why Frank did this to him. Madani tells Billy everything–that Billy killed Frank’s wife and kids and that instead of killing him, Frank did this to Billy so that he’s have to live with this and like this the rest of his life. Billy returns to Dumont and tells her that he knows why Frank hates him, but that Frank should have killed him instead of leaving him like this. There’s no honor in this.
After learning that Billy visited Madani, Dumont calls Madani and invites her over. Dumont makes up a story about being afraid that Billy is going to come after her next. Dumont has Madani stay for a drink.
