Uncertainty
Sandy and Norman went out to lunch and Norman revealed that Diane was trying to go out with him. Sandy managed to convince Norman to go to lunch with her. Back at his house Norman continued to struggle with the idea of moving on from Ilene. Sandy went to teach his class. He led the class in an exercise called ‘mirror.’ Sandy decided to demonstrate to the class with Lisa, and she quickly understood the underlying motivations that Sandy had. A few of Sandy’s students deduced that Sandy and Lisa were romantically involved. Norman took Diane out for lunch and they discussed their dead spouses. He struggled with the kindness that Diane expressed towards him and their lunch ended relatively quickly.
Lunchtime Conversation
Norman called Sandy and told him about the meal. Diane reached out and asked to go to a charity fundraiser with Norman. Norman forced Sandy to come along, as repayment for the tax settlement. Lisa was also invited to attend alongside Sandy. At the fundraiser, Norman and Lisa discussed the fun it seemed that Norman and Diane were having. Diane summarized how Ilene had single-handedly started the charity. Norman went to check out the silent auction as he found the conversation uncomfortable. Lisa and Sandy began to eat, but Sandy found himself distracted by the way that Diane was consuming her dinner. When Diane expressed her concern about Norman,.he lashed out at her. She stormed out of the dinner. Lisa and Sandy also left Norman.
Night-time Challenges
Back at home, Norman struggled with the appearance of his both his dead mother and grandmother. They got into an argument with Norman’s hallucinations of Ilene and Norman ran out of his house in order to escape his hallucinations. Sandy and Lisa discussed the complications of their relationship and Sandy told her that he would be unable to be both her teacher and her romantic partner. Lisa chose to remain his student. Norman ran to the gas station and called Sandy to ask for his help. Norman ran away from the phone and Sandy went out to look for him. While wandering around the city, Norman was approached by police officers, and they took him to the station. Sandy heard about it and went to pick up Norman. During the car ride home, Norman expressed his concerns over his mental stability to Sandy, and Sandy attempted to comfort him.
