William Suff aka the Riverside Prostitute Killer is an American serial killer who received a death sentence in October 1995. Currently, he is behind bars in the highly secure, San Quentin State Prison.

According to Murderpedia, William Suff’s reign of terror began in the start of 1986. His methods of torture involved, rape, strangulation, and even mutilation. In total, he was responsible for the murders of 12 or more prostitutes in Riverside County. However, people described Suff as a mind-mannered individual who would always do things to help the community.
Apart from being called The Riverside Prostitute Killer, he was also nicknamed, The Lake Elsinore Killer, because he mainly operated in these areas. In 1996, Christine Keers and Dennis St Pierre wrote a book about him titled, The Riverside Killer. Furthermore, Amazon Prime’s 2013 documentary titled Serial Killers Defined narrated his story.

During the 1970s, a Texas jury convicted him and his then-wife for beating their two-month-old daughter to death. Even though he was sentenced to 70 years in prison, he got out in just 10 years on parole. William Suff is currently 73 years old.
