Did the Boston Marathon Bombers get caught?
It did not take the police too long to catch Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. After the Boston Marathon Bombing, the FBI released their images, and they were instantly identified. Moreover, they got involved in a police shootout where several bullets hit Tamerlan. However, his brother, Dzhokhar, fled the scene. Soon after, Tamerlan succumbed to his injuries.
After fleeing, Dzhokhar took shelter in a boat. However, the owner of the boat knew that there was a fugitive in his backyard after he went to search the boat. Having discovered a bloodied man, he soon notified the authorities. The Boston police, along with Waltham authorities, soon arrived at the location. After they verified Dzhokhar’s location using a forward looking infrared thermal imaging device in a helicopter, they shot him, after which they took him into custody. During the time of his arrest, he was reportedly captured unarmed.
