How Old Was Tupac Shakur When He Died?

Late American rapper Tupac Shakur was only 25 years old at the time of his death. At approximately 11:15 p.m. on September 7, 1996, he received several fatal gunshots in a drive-by shooting that ended up taking his life. This tragic incident occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The murder weapon was a .40-calibre Glock. Tupac was on the receiving end of four rounds. Two bullets penetrated his chest, while one went into his arm. Furthermore, another bullet penetrated his thigh. He immediately received medical attention. Unfortunately, it was too late. Tupac passed away six days after this tragedy on September 13, 1996.

27 years after the murder of the rapper, officials finally arrested a man named Duane “Keefe D” Davis in connection with this case.

According to AP, Las Vegas police homicide Lt. Jason Johansson said, “Duane Davis was the shot caller for this group of individuals that committed this crime and he orchestrated the plan that was carried out.”

In 2002, a documentary film titled, Biggie & Tupac, was released. It shed light on the murders of both, Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. The IMDb synopsis of Biggie & Tupac reads, “Documentary on the deaths of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls and the East Coast/West Coast, hip-hop/rap rivalry that culminated in late 1996 and early 1997.”
