The infamous Manson Family was a cult that operated in the late 1960s. Its leader was the sinister, Charles Manson. Many described this cult as a commune or a gang. It approximately consisted of 100 followers. Collectively, they led an unconventional life. They frequently consumed drugs like Benzedrine and LSD.

While the leader of the Manson Family, Charles Manson, died on November 19, 2017, many members are still alive. However, some of them have been released and some are still in jail. Several members have even passed away.

Susan Atkins joined the Manson Family in 1967. When was sent to jail, she regretted her decision to murder actor Sharon Tate. However, the officials denied her parole. Atkins died at the age of 61 from brain cancer in 2009.

Leslie Van Houten

Leslie Van Houten was only 19 when she took the life of the LaBiancas. She was released from prison on July 11, 2023. Currently, she is 73 years old.

Patricia Krenwinkel

Krenwinkel had sexual relations with Charles Manson. She has been denied parole several times. Currently aged 75, she is still behind bars. She was involved in the murders of Sharon Tate and Rosemary & Leno LaBianca.
