On December 27, 1993, at approximately 11:15 p.m. Roger Hoan Brady shot and killed Martin Ganz in a parking lot. According to the Officer Down Memory Lane page, this incident took place in a parking lot. When the 29-year-old was outside the patrol car, the gunman exited from his car and shot at him multiple times. The victim tried to take cover. However, the damage had already been done.
Ganz was accompanied by his 12-year-old nephew, who was in the patrol car. Brady also attempted to shoot at the young boy but his gun misfired. The boy was not harmed. Officials apprehended Roger Hoan Brady approximately eight months after this incident. Furthermore, the 29-year-old victim was engaged to a courtroom clerk named Pamela Ham.
