Where Did Jeffrey Dahmer Go to High School?

Between 1978 and 1991, serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer reportedly murdered 17 people, and the news of his killing spree terrorized the nation. He even engaged in cannibalism and permanently preserved body parts in many later murders. Dahmer eluded capture by the authorities during that timeframe and continued his killings.

However, one of his victims, Tracy Edwards, brought an end to the serial killer’s violent streak. He told the authorities that Dahmer allegedly drugged him and almost killed him in July 1991. Edwards guided the police to Dahmer’s apartment and helped search the entire place. Law enforcement authorities eventually arrested and detained the serial killer.

The court convicted Jeffrey Dahmer of all 16 murders he committed and sentenced him to 16 terms of life imprisonment. Despite being considered to be one of the most horrifying killers in US history, Dahmer was once an ordinary high-school student.

Jeffrey Dahmer high school: Where did the serial killer attend school?

Jeffrey Dahmer was born on May 21, 1960, in Milwaukee, Wisconsion. He later went on to relocate to Bath Township, Ohio, where he attended Revere High School. He attended the school during the 1970s and graduated as part of the class of 1978. According to reports, Dahmer was shy and an average student. However, he didn’t go unnoticed, and classmates knew him for pulling pranks.

Citing Dahmer’s friend, The Sun reported that Dahmer sneaked into group yearbook photos for unaffiliated clubs. However, the New York Times reported he couldn’t join the group because his grades weren’t high enough. In May 1978, he graduated from high school, and this is when his killing spree began.

Three weeks after graduating, Jeffrey Dahmer committed his first murder. He met Hicks while hitchhiking to a concert in Ohio and had a few drinks at Dahmer’s apartment. When Hicks tried to leave, Dahmer hit him with a 10-pound dumbbell and struck him twice more with the same dumbbell.

Almost a year after his first murder, Jeffrey Dahmer enlisted himself in the US Army and trained as a medical specialist. However, his performance deteriorated due to alcohol abuse and was later discharged from the army. Dahmer later returned to Milwaukee and started committing a series of horrifying murders. He killed 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. On July 22, 1991, authorities arrested and convicted Dahmer of the 16 murders he committed.

The court sentenced Jeffrey Dahmer to 16 terms of life imprisonment. However, on November 28, 1994, a fellow inmate, Christopher Scarver, beat Dahmer to death at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin.
