In the previous episode of The Two of Us, Khem informed Freya that Aunt Soi-Nang scolded him at college for working at the club. The latter got concerned when she continued to call her son. Later, Meiji comforted Freya as she was worried about Nang messing with Khem. The former gave the latter a massage to help her calm down. Furthermore, Meiji looked after Freya when she returned home from the club with a fever. Later, Khem told the former that his mom is lucky to have her amid the club’s chaotic situation. He further revealed that he knows Meiji is more than a best friend to Freya. Meiji then thanked Khem for understanding them.
