August Vachiravit Paisarnkulwong and Mac Nattapat Nimjirawat are all set to star in the upcoming Thai BL drama Addicted Heroin. The project was first announced last year and has now finally unveiled its teaser trailer.
Addicted Heroin’s storyline follows Hero (August), a teen who joins a new school in a provincial town. There, he comes across Pop (Mac), a boy from a humble background, and gets close to him. Hero is the son of a general and runs away from home after his father remarries and brings his new wife and stepchild. Things get complicated as Hero finds out that Pop is his new stepmother’s son.

The teaser trailer shows Hero coming across Pop in his new school as the two get close. After the former messes around with the latter, he discovers that Pop’s dad is the sole breadwinner of the family. Hero also learns that Pop doesn’t have a mom. Furthermore, Hero jumps in to protect Pop when he is questioned after winning a Mother’s Day essay. It is then revealed that Pop was abandoned by his mother when he was a kid.
Hero empathizes with Pop and opens up about his dad remarrying. The two get close to each other, so much so that they get close and develop a deep emotional bond. However, their journey to love isn’t an easy one as they are forced to separate and face several hurdles.
Is Thai drama Addicted Heroin based on a novel?
Addicted Heroin is the Thai adaptation of the novel Are You Addicted? by Chai Ji Dan. It has also previously received Chinese adaptations, such as Addicted and Stay With Me.
Aside from August and Mac, the cast of Addicted Heroin includes Jur Vasin Traiprakhong as Tiger and Newyear Nawaphat Thannamongkhonsawat as Only. They are joined by Ning Chutima Maholakul as Phailin and Nall Nalliya Wipakkit as Lala.
