Powell’s reaction is every bit as emotional as one would expect, as he praises the dress before getting teary-eyed.
“Aw, this dress is amazing,” said Powell. “You nailed it, I’m so impressed.” The actor can then be seen getting emotional alongside his family, before jokingly breaking the tension calling for a picture.

Powell’s sister’s wedding was also notable for a variety of other reasons, chief among them the fact that Sydney Sweeney was Powell’s guest. Sweeney — who has reportedly called off her engagement to Jonathan Davino — was in attendance for the wedding. While this sparked tons of rumors online, Powell recently cleared the air, saying that Sweeney is simply a good friend of his sister’s from their time together.
“Timing is everything in this world, isn’t it?,” Powell jokingly asked on Today. The 36-year-old actor then noted that his sister Leslie Powell, who recently tied the knot, and Sweeney are “great friends,” and showered immense praise for the former’s wedding, which took place in his hometown of Texas. “The Powell’s know how to do it right, so all the people that love her were there,” he added. Here, Glen Powell also mentioned that he was a groomsman at his sister’s wedding, jokingly naming himself the “master of ceremonies.”
