New clip from Snatched, starring Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer, clues us in on their relationship
Today, 20th Century Fox released a new clip from the upcoming film Snatched, starring Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer. The two play mother and daughter, and in this scene, we get a look at their dynamic in the film. The clip was first shown at CinemaCon, the film event taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada this week, where studios are releasing trailers, posters and info from their upcoming slate.
Here is the official synopsis: “After her boyfriend dumps her on the eve of their exotic vacation, impetuous dreamer Emily Middleton (Amy Schumer) persuades her ultra-cautious mother, Linda (Goldie Hawn) to travel with her to paradise. Polar opposites, Emily and Linda realize that working through their differences as mother and daughter – in unpredictable, hilarious fashion – is the only way to escape the wildly outrageous jungle adventure they have fallen into.”
Snatched also features Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors), Wanda Sykes (Bad Moms) and Joan Cusack (Working Girl). Amy Schumer is known for her stand-up comedy, her show Inside Amy Schumer and for her recent starring turn in the film Trainwreck, which she also wrote. Goldie Hawn is famous for her comedy, beginning on the TV show Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In, and films like Overboard, The First Wives Club and Death Becomes Her.
Directed by Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies, The Night Before, 50/50) and written by Katie Dippold (The Heat, Ghostbusters), Snatched is produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Paul Feig and Jessie Henderson. Snatched starring Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer will hit theaters on May 12, 2017, which just happens to be Mother’s Day weekend.
