Fox Searchlight Pictures invited ComingSoon.net to attend the Wilson press day, where we interviewed stars Woody Harrelson, Laura Dern, Judy Greer and Cheryl Hines, as well as screenwriter Daniel Clowes and director Craig Johnson. Based on Daniel Clowes‘ acclaimed graphic novel of the same name, Wilson hits theaters March 24. Check out the video interviews in the player below!
Wilson stars Woody Harrelson (The Hunger Games, War for the Planet of the Apes) in the title role, a lonely, neurotic and hilariously honest middle-aged misanthrope who reunites with his estranged wife (Laura Dern) and gets a shot at happiness when he learns he has a teenage daughter (Isabella Amara) he has never met. In his uniquely outrageous and slightly twisted way, he sets out to connect with her. Judy Greer (Archer, Ant-Man) and Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Son of Zorn) co-star.

The screenplay was adapted by Clowes himself. The artist previously adapted his own graphic novel Ghost World for the 2001 film adaptation directed by Terry Zwigoff and starring Thora Birch, Scarlett Johansson and Steve Buscemi. Clowes’ other major big screen credit is as a writer for 2006’s Art School Confidential, also helmed by Zwigoff.
