Get ready for Halloween with Most Craved’s horror movies preview!
October is already half over and Halloween is just two week away! That’s why this week’s Most Craved is dedicated to delivering a horror movies preview, exploring some of the genre fare available on both the big and small screens. In the above player, you can learn which horror movies our hosts recommend you check out in theaters and what classic horror movies they’ll be watching again this year.
This week’s hosts include Jenna Busch of Legion of Leia, William Bibbiani of CraveOnline and our own Silas Lesnick. They’re taking a look at wide range of horror movies that are arriving on the big screen this October. In fact, this Friday brings us two major releases with both the R.L. Stine adaption Goosebumps and Guillermo del Toro’s haunting tale Crimson Peak. The former, directed by Rob Letterman, stars Jack Black as Stine. Featuring a cast led by Dylan Minnette, Odeya Rush and Ryan Lee, Goosebumps blends scary monsters, family fun and just a hint of nostalgia. Crimson Peak, meanwhile, stars Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Hunnam. Del Toro himself also provides the screenplay (co-writing with Matthew Robbins), which tells the tale of an aspiring author who, in the aftermath of a family tragedy, finds herself torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds… and remembers.
