Harry Nilson’s “Perfect Day” scores the mournful first trailer for Angelina Jolie‘s By the Sea, in which she co-stars with husband Brad Pitt along with Niels Arestrup, Mélanie Laurent and Melvil Poupaud.
Described as an intimate, character-driven drama, the story centers on American writer Roland (Pitt) and his wife Vanessa (Jolie), who arrive in a tranquil and picturesque seaside resort in 1970s France, their marriage in apparent crisis. As they spend time with fellow travelers, including young newlyweds Lea (Laurent) and François (Poupaud) and village locals Michel (Arestrup) and Patrice (Richard Bohringer), the couple begins to come to terms with unresolved issues in their own lives.
Universal has slated the film for a November 13 release. Watch the trailer below.
