Following up the first sneak peak in the form of a retro trailer, Netflix has released the first official, full-length trailer for its upcoming series, “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp“.
More so than the previous look, this trailer provides a really good idea of what we can expect from this 8 episode series in terms of its comedy style. Even after a few times through the trailer, Paul Rudd riding in on his motorcycle and jumping off continues to make me laugh. Camp Firewood is staffed by a phenomenal cast that includes Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, and the aforementioned Paul Rudd – all of whom are exponentially more famous now than they were when appearing in the original film.
Towards the end of the trailer we are also introduced to a new member of the cast, an actor named Joh Hamm, and by the looks of it, he’ll be one to watch for years to come…
Netflix will release all 8 episodes of “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp” on Friday, July 31. Be on the lookout for our recap and review not long after the series debuts!
