I think we can all mark Julianne Moore down for winning Best Actress at this year’s Academy Awards for her performance in Still Alice. I, like many people, have not seen the film, but the forces around me are just telling me to mark her down, whether she deserves the award or not. You know, normal Oscar stuff.
Well, Still Alice, which also stars Kristen Stewart (who is getting a little buzz herself) and Alec Baldwin (who I just found out is in this film), received a new trailer today, and you all may watch it below.
Does the film look compelling aside from Moore’s performance? Stories about people with Alzheimer’s can get rather sappy and sentimental, and that does not do much for me. I know next to nothing about this movie, so I do not know which direction they are going in with this. I just hope it is not that one.
Also, I know there is temptation out there to watch this online, as this was one of the films victim to the Sony hack. But I urge you to wait until you can legitimately watch the film to watch. Do not give in!
Again, you can watch the trailer below.
