Nowadays when a studio releases a new trailer for one of their movies and makes sure to tell us it’s the “final trailer” it gives me a bit of a laugh. It’s as if they’re saying, “Okay, we know we’ve released a lot of trailers and you’re probably tired of seeing them, but we promise, this time, this is it. This is the final one.” Of course, we’re then barraged with a series of television spots, clips, featurettes, etc. until the film is in theaters after which the trailers full of critic quotes, calling it the “best movie of the year featuring goats” and whatever other hyperbole can be ripped from positive reviews and tweets, start hitting televisions everywhere.
Well, today get ready for one more final trailer as 20th Century Fox has released one more look at Ridley Scott‘s Exodus: Gods and Kings, his take on the story of Moses, which may or may not upset Christians, though most likely will.
The film stars Christian Bale as Moses, Joel Edgerton as Ramses, Aaron Paul as Joshua, John Turturro as Seti, Sigourney Weaver as Tuya, Ben Mendelsohn as Hegep and Ben Kingsley as Nun. The film hits the big screen on December 12.

Using state of the art visual effects and 3D immersion, Scott brings new life to the story of the defiant leader Moses (Christian Bale) as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses (Joel Edgerton), setting 400,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.
