Come May 29, 2015 we’ll have a new trilogy to add to Insidious: Chapter 3, a prequel story, predating the haunting of the Lambert family in the earlier movies.
The story reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.
Screenwriter and franchise co-creator Leigh Whannell is stepping behind the camera for the first time with this chapter with Dermot Mulroney playing father to Scott’s character.
