Dan Gilroy‘s Nightcrawler starring Jake Gyllenhaal will have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival and while we’ve already seen a teaser trailer for the film, Open Road has released the first official trailer for you to peruse.
Gyllenhaal stars as Lou Bloom, a driven young man who discovers the nocturnal world of L.A. crime journalism. Joining a group of freelance camera crews who film marketable mayhem, Lou makes his own place at the table, aided by Nina, a veteran of the blood-sport that is local TV news. Blurring the line between observer and perpetrator, Lou finds his calling in a murderous world reduced to transactions. Rene Russo, Riz Ahmed and Bill Paxton co-star.
This is easily one of my most anticipated movies playing Toronto and it will hit theaters on October 31, give the trailer a watch below.
