Sony Classics has released the first official trailer for Magic in the Moonlight, the latest film from Woody Allen.
The Cote d’Azur-set drama stars Colin Firth as an Englishman brought in to help unmask a possible charlatan mystic (Emma Stone) only to ultimately fall for her. The film is set in the south of France in the 1920s against a backdrop of wealthy mansions, the South of France, jazz joints and fashionable spots for the wealthy of the Jazz Age. Eileen Atkins, Marcia Gay Harden, Jacki Weaver, Erica Leerhsen and Hamish Linklater co-star.
Sony Classics has already set a July 25 release date for the film, which was surprisingly not at the Cannes Film Festival given its setting. Watch the trailer below.
