Under the Skin and today we not only have the official domestic poster, but a brand new international trailer for the upcoming film starring Scarlett Johansson as an alien on an existential journey through Scotland, harvesting humans for sustenance and, in the process, finds compassion for her victims.
A24 picked up the film out of Toronto last year, which is where I saw it and, in my review, interpreted it as a film “making a commentary on society’s lack of attention to our youth, crying out for help” while also noting ” the film itself is far from straight forward and I had more fun trying to decipher it than actually watching it.”
