Last night Paramount offered up the first look at Michael Bay‘s Transformers: Age of Extinction with the following Super Bowl trailer. While I think we all hold out hope these movies will deliver something more than nonsensical CG robots smashing into one another it seems the intent is to merely ramp up the amount of smashing each time out. This time, it will include robot dinosaurs and it appears Optimus Prime will ride one like it’s a horse while wielding a giant sword.
The humans will be played by Mark Wahlberg, Brenton Thwaites, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles and T.J. Miller and I expect we’ll be seeing much more marketing for this one very soon as it will hit theaters on June 27.
