Summit just sent over the following infographic to accompany their new film Divergent, yet another young adult adaptation, which will see the first trailer debut tonight during the MTV Video Music Awards at 8:00 PM ET.
Accompanying the image they described it as introducing the “5 virtue-based factions” in the film. Here’s the synopsis to help that make a little more sense:
Divergent is a thrilling action-adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late. DIVERGENT is based on the best-selling book series by Veronica Roth.
Shailene Woodley (The Spectacular Now) stars in the lead role as Beatrice and she’s supported by the likes of Kate Winslet, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Jai Courtney, her Spectacular Now co-star Miles Teller and Zoë Kravitz.
Neil Burger directs and Summit is set to release it in theaters on March 21, 2014.
