Advice On How to Watch the New ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ Trailer

I’d wager when the majority of the audience members at Cannes saw Joel and Ethan Coen‘s Inside Llewyn Davis they had little to no actual idea what the film was about. Sure, we knew it was a ’60s set film based on the life of a young folk singer (Oscar Isaac) as he navigates the Greenwich Village folk scene, but the particulars of his life were a mystery.

Considering the film doesn’t necessarily tell a story in the “traditional” sense and is more of a movie that plops you into the life of the titular character and we watch as we navigate his life’s ups and downs at that particular moment in time, those little details become very important. To watch this new trailer for the film, however, it seems CBS Films is satisfied revealing two plot elements in the first 50 seconds.

So, here’s my advice… Skip the first 50 seconds and watch up to the 2 minute mark and you have yourself a perfect trailer.
